WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION
GLOBAL SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN

I worked with the World Health Organization to create their social media campaign social media tiles for World Diabetes Day 2024. World Diabetes Day is the world’s largest diabetes awareness campaign reaching a global audience of over 1 billion people in more than 160 countries.

This World Diabetes Day campaign had personal highlights - I created infographics based on newly released Data by The Lancet, 2 social media tiles shared by Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and The WHO Instagram Account followed the Miss Diabetes Instagram Account.

The Lancet also published new data: “Over 800 million adults are now living with diabetes worldwide with more than half not receiving treatment, global analysis suggests.”

WHO wanted me to created a visually interesting infographic to present this data. I created a bar graph that showed the diversity of people living with diabetes, and used colors to help differentiate between low-and-middle-income countries and high-income countries. The infographic was shared by Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on his Twitter/X and LinkedIn pages, as well as being shared by WHO comms as a poll on Instagram on their health and sciences channel.
